Louis Earl Anderson, son of John & Nora (Thorn) Anderson, was born September 9, 1926 in Stanford, NE. He passed away on December 15, 2010 at the Phillips County Hospital in Phillipsburg, KS at the age of 84.
Louis grew up in Stanford and attended school there. In his senior year, he was drafted into the U.S. Army and served his country during WW II.
On September 22, 1967, Louis was united in marriage to Joyce Seabolt in Utica, KS. The couple lived in Nebraska for two years and then returned to Kansas.
Louis worked as a track foreman for the Burlington Northern railroad for many years before retiring. The couple lived in Norcatur for several years.
Louis enjoyed fishing and doing plastic canvass work. In October 2010, due to failing health, Louis moved to the Logan Manor in Logan, KS.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Joyce on Nov. 9, 2010; his brother, Neil and 2 sisters; Elaine Marble and Vera Anderson.
Survivors include 2 daughters; Glenda Steelsmith of Tucson, AZ and Mary Kershner of Bloomington, NE; his brother John of Hastings; 4 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Dec. 18 at 10:00 a.m. in the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel, Phillipsburg with Pastor Tim Kraft officiating.
