Resident of Juárez, Chihuahua, Mexico, Luis Carlos Peña Marquez, passed away on September 29, 2025, at the age of 45. He was born on November 14, 1979, in Nicolás Bravo, Chihuahua, Mexico, to Eumelio Peña and Silvia Márquez.

Luis was known for his loving nature and his genuine desire to help others. He leaves behind a legacy of compassion and kindness.

He is survived by his mother, Silvia Márquez of Long Island, KS; his father, Eumelio Peña of Colorado Springs, CO; his two daughters, Anahi and Dayrin Peña; three brothers, Gerardo, Fabian, and Juan Peña; two sisters, Bianey and Gladys Peña; and his significant other, Karla Karina Estrada.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 8th, 2025 at the Sts. Philip & James Catholic Church, Phillipsburg, KS.  Burial will follow in the Long Island Cemetery, Long Island, KS.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel, Phillipsburg.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Luis Carlos Pena Marquez Memorial Fund.

Luis Carlos Peña Márquez, residente de Juárez, Chihuahua, México, falleció el 29 de septiembre de 2025 a la edad de 45 años. Nació el 14 de noviembre de 1979 en Nicolás Bravo, Chihuahua, México, hijo de Eumelio Peña y Silvia Márquez.

Luis era conocido por su carácter cariñoso y su genuino deseo de ayudar a los demás. Deja un legado de compasión y bondad.

Le sobreviven su madre, Silvia Márquez, de Long Island, Kansas; su padre, Eumelio Peña, de Colorado Springs, Colorado; sus dos hijas, Anahi y Dayrin Peña; sus tres hermanos, Gerardo, Fabián y Juan Peña; sus dos hermanas, Bianey y Gladys Peña; y su pareja, Karla Karina Estrada.

La misa de entierro cristiano se celebrará a las 10:30 a. m. del miércoles 8 de octubre de 2025 en la Iglesia de los Santos. Iglesia Católica Philip & James, Phillipsburg, Kansas. El entierro se realizará posteriormente en el Cementerio de Long Island, también en Long Island, Kansas.

La familia recibirá a sus amigos el martes por la tarde, de 17:00 a 20:00 h, en la Capilla Conmemorativa Olliff-Boeve, Phillipsburg.

Se pueden realizar donaciones en su memoria al Fondo Conmemorativo de Luis Carlos Peña Márquez.
