Obituary

Lucas Eugene Martin, 45, went to his final home on December 5th, 2024, at Phillips County Hospital. Luke was born November 2nd, 1979, to Dennis Martin & Linda Martin-Bertholf.  He was the oldest of 3.  Luke is survived by his father Dennis, mother Linda (Kelly), daughter Kinzy, brother Greg, sister Alica (Joe) Wildfong, stepsisters Staci (Derek) Foreman and Ashley (Alex) Snyder as well as Aunts, Uncles, cousins and many friends he considered his family.  Luke is proceeded in death by both sets of grandparents, his best friend and cousin Brian Martin and other family members.

Luke was always there to lend a helping hand and was always "fixing" something up.  In fact, if you love "fixing" things up there are many projects that are not completed because if you knew Luke he had many projects going at once.  He was always able to make something out of nothing.  He had visions most of us could never see in things.  Luke loved the outdoors.  If he wasn't working on one of his many projects, you could find him doing anything outside.  Hunting, fishing or simply being outside with his friends and family.  He had the biggest heart and was always there to help anyone in need.  We will deeply miss him and the hole he has left in this family.

Cremation was planned with no visitation.

A celebration of life will take place Monday, December 16th at 11:00 AM, at the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel, with Harlan Nonhof officiating.  Since Luke had a love of food, we invite everyone to come celebrate with a meal and share all the crazy stories after the service at the funeral home basement.   Please dress casually as we all know Luke hated dressing up.

Memorials may be made to the Kinzy Martin Scholarship fund or Smokey Hill Foundation.
