Margaret Johanna (Stalder) Vincent, daughter of Edward and Emma (Lubeck) Stalder, was born December 5, 1929 on the family farm south of Stamford, NE. She was baptized on February 2, 1930 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Stamford and confirmed at Messiah Lutheran Church in Denver, CO on May 12, 1940. Margaret departed this life on August 12, 2014 at the Harlan County Hospital in Alma, NE at the age of 84.
Margaret attended country school at Districts 49 and 54 and graduated from Stamford High School in 1947. She graduated with a BA from Midland Lutheran College in Fremont, NE in 1951. Following graduation she taught elementary school in Long Island, KS for eight years.
Dale Vincent and Margaret were joined in marriage August 19th, 1956 in Trinity
Lutheran Church in Stamford. Dale worked as a farmer and rancher. After marriage they were blessed with four children: Carol Joy, Paul, John and Bryan.
Margaret was a devout Christian and a faithful member of the Lutheran Church all of her life. She loved teaching Sunday school, leading bible studies and playing the organ for church services.
She enjoyed many activities including gardening, sewing, and crafts of all kinds. Her life was dedicated to her family and grandchildren, sustaining them with her prayers and concern.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter Carol Joy; and two sisters, Dorothy Stalder and Joyce Dorn.
She leaves to mourn: husband Dale Vincent, son Paul Vincent and wife Tammy of Long Island, KS, son John Vincent of Long Island, son Bryan Vincent and wife Robin of Derby, KS, six grandchildren: Zachary, Ian, Miles, Shayna, Hannah and Lily, and sisters-in-law Mildred Hunt of Alma, NE, Doris Hammond of Long Island, KS, Arleta Vincent of Norton, KS, and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Aug. 15, at 2:00 p.m. in the Trinity Lutheran Church, Stamford, NE, with Rev. Rick Rostek officiating. Burial will follow in the Stamford Cemetery, Stamford.
Visitation will be Thursday from noon – 9 p.m. and Friday morning until 10 a.m. at the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel, Phillipsburg, KS.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Norton Immanuel Lutheran Church, the Trinity Lutheran Bible School of Stamford or the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
