The family, including little sister Jeanette, moved to Salina after graduation while the girls attended college. After earning a degree in Cosmetology, the family returned to Glade where Margie worked at Agnes's Beauty Salon in Phillipsburg. In addition to beautifying the world, Margie also became an aerobics instructor for many years. She worked at the Cottonwood Inn, in many capacities, for the better part of two decades. She enjoyed her KU Jayhawks and traveling the globe.
