Marjorie Jean Johnson, 90, died Thursday, March 22, 2012 in Dalhart, Texas
Viewing for Mrs. Johnson will be held at the Norton Christian Church, 208 N. Kansas, Norton, Kansas from 10:00 – 12:00 noon, Tuesday, March 27, 2012.
Graveside Services will be Tuesday, March 27, 2012, 1:00PM at Norton City Cemetery, Norton, Kansas under the direction of Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel, Phillipsburg, Kansas.
Officiating will be Larry Lyles, Pastor, First Christian Church, Norton, Kansas.
Marjorie Jean Yerton was born November 4, 1921 in Norton County, KS to James & Elizabeth (Duff) Yerton. Marjorie married Joe Johnson in January 1939 and was a homemaker. She was very loving, caring and had one of the most beautiful smiles. Marjorie will be missed by all that knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Joe and son, Dennis Johnson.
Marjorie is survived by cousins Sue Downing and Barbara Smith of Denver, CO., Dick VanDerwedge of Phillipsburg, KS; three sisters-in-law Mildred Fielding of Dalhart,TX, Gladys Tautfist of Tucson, AZ., Wilma Hamilton of Lombard, IL.; a niece and Husband, Pat and Farrell Forry of Dalhart; and other nieces and nephews.
