Norton, KS resident, Mark Anthony Van Patten passed away August 19, 2022 at the Norton County Hospital at the age of 43.

He was born July 21, 1979 in Kearney, NE the son of Anthony and Rose (Anderson) Van Patten.  Mark was a 1998 graduate of Northern Valley High School.  He was a hard worker.  Following high school he worked for NCK Contractors and most recently with Linner Construction.

Mark was a member of the Norton Christian Church and a former volunteer for the Almena Fire Department.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing, coaching his kids, and church activities.  His great love was simply being a Dad.

He was preceded in death by baby Jordan Van Patten.

Survivors include his girlfriend Jessica Ebner and their two boys Brandon Mathew and Ashton Alexander of Norton, KS; his three daughters Khrissanna Marrie, Téa Marrie, and Serenity Rose Van Patten all of Norton, KS; two step-daughters Rylie Linner and Karmyn Rutherford of Norton; step-son Gavin Rutherford of Norton; three grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; parents Anthony and Rose Van Patten of Almena, KS; brothers Mathew Van Patten and wife Hilary of Almena and Benjamin Van Patten of Phillipsburg; and his paternal grandfather David Van Patten of Almena, KS.

Cremation was planned.  A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 26 ^th in the Norton Christian Church with Pastor Nate Hagen officiating.  The services will be streamed live on the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel Facebook page.

Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to the Mark Anthony Van Patten Children's Fund.
