Michael Lynn Lemon was born April 1, 1958 in Phillipsburg, KS to Robert & Norma (Maley) Lemon, the 4th of 5 children. He passed peacefully on Sept. 21, 2010 at the Hays Medical Center, Hays, KS at the age of 52.

He attended school in Phillipsburg and graduated from Phillipsburg High School with the class of 1977. Mike furthered his education at Beloit Vo-Tech in Welding. After completion of his degree, he work at the Hesston Corporation in Hesston, KS for several years before moving back to Phillipsburg to be closer to his family & work at Tamko.

Mike kept his life full with daily walks with his dog Bunny and painting, which he carried a strong love for. He enjoyed socializing and visiting with friends. Mike was baptized, confirmed and a member of the First Lutheran Church in Phillipsburg.

Survivors include his brother, Douglas Lemon of Tampa, FL; his sister, Rebecca Gibson and husband Ken of Agra, KS; 3 nieces, Megan Krom and husband Sky, Jazmaine & Casandra Gibson; 5 nephews, Kenton Lemon & wife Jenny, Justin Chestnut & wife Deidra, Evan Chestnut, Jose & Michael Gibson; 2 great nieces and 1 great nephew.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Debra Lemon and his brother Steven Lemon.

Mike is a true hero. As a gift of Life Donor, Mike is able to touch and give life to others. He touches the hand of the recipient and passes on the gift of life and love.

A memorial service was held Friday, Sept. 24 at 10:00 a.m. in the First Lutheran Church with Pastor Joel Hiesterman officiating.
