Phillipsburg resident Milton Louis (Milt) Aubushon passed away Thursday, September 3, 2026, at the Phillips County Retirement Center, Phillipsburg, KS, at the age of 87. He was born in Red Cloud, NE, to Lester and Leona (Hastings) Aubushon on May 2, 1939.

Milt graduated from Phillipsburg High School and then served in the National Guard for six years. On September 4, 1960, he was united in marriage to June (Paulsen) Aubushon. They resided in Phillipsburg and were blessed with one daughter, Teresa.

Milt worked for Kansas-Nebraska Natural Gas Company and then Farmland Industries until his retirement in 2007. He spent much of his time woodworking and working on his cars.

Survivors include his daughter Teresa and husband Kevin of Stafford of Windsor, Colorado; grandchildren Allison Wallace and husband Drew of Littleton, Colorado, and Geoffrey Nelson of Oakland, California; and four great-grandchildren.

Milt was preceded in death by his parents; his wife June Aubushon; his brother Carold Aubushon and sister Daisie Mae (Aubushon) Hartman.

Cremation is planned. A private inurnment will take place at a later date in the Fairview Cemetery, Phillipsburg, KS.
