Obituary

Mollie Maxine (Lee) Morrison was born November 25, 1919, at Red Cloud, Nebraska, to Ira and Alma (Stutesman) Lee. She passed away at the Phillips County Retirement Center in Phillipsburg, KS on December 27, 2013 at the age of 94.
Mollie graduated from Phillipsburg High School in 1938. She received her Normal School Teaching Certificate and taught for three years in a country school.
On May 12, 1941 she was united in marriage to Charles W. Morrison in Smith Center, KS. God blessed this union with four children - Ronald, Anita, Jolinda and Gary – and with 66 wonderful years of marriage before Charles passed away in 2007.
Mollie was a member of the Englewood Wesleyan Church and was active in the Women's Missionary Society, making quilts and helping provide dishes for the many church dinners. She was also a member of the Sunshine Club for many years where she enjoyed socializing with her fellow neighbors.
Some of her greatest joys were cooking, crocheting, embroidering and making crafts with her sisters for her family. Her grandchildren especially loved her homemade rolls, noodles, and cherry pie. Mollie was a wonderful farm wife, mother and grandmother, and enjoyed attending the activities of her grandchildren and playing games with them.
She spent the last few years of her life at the Phillips County Retirement Center.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Charles; parents, Ira & Alma Lee; daughter, Anita Niederhaus; and sisters, Opal Lee, Jacquetta Burton, and Juineta Johnson.
Mollie is survived by her sons, Ronald Morrison & wife, Beverly, of Phillipsburg, KS and Gary Morrison, also of Phillipsburg; daughter, Jolinda Miller & husband, David, of Lakewood, CO; son-in-law, Jerry Niederhaus of Lake Havasu City, AZ; 8 grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 4 step great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tues, December 31 at 10:00 a.m. in the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel with Pastor Randy Garner officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, Phillipsburg.

Visitation will be from 12:00 to 9:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with the family receiving friends from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m.
