Obituary

Mynette June Ulrich was born on August 25, 1950 in Emporia, KS.  She went to be with the Lord on March 15, 2020 at 1:42 p.m.

She supervised the Fruitcake and Jelly Kitchen at the College of the Ozarks for 32 years, baking over 40,000 fruitcakes a year.  She loved and was proud of her responsibilities.

She had a natural talent for sewing and made quilts for family, students, faculty and many others and she always designed her own patterns.

As she was always doing for others, she helped many students when in need and attended many of their weddings and baby showers as well, and never missed a Pinning and Blessing Ceremony for the C of O Nursing program.

She enjoyed having her smiley face collection at the Fruitcake Kitchen in which she started collecting after her twin sister's death in 1983.  She then started a sister's weekend with her other two sisters that lasted for 27 years.

Mynette proudly introduced herself as the "Fruit Cake Lady or Mrs. Ed" as they celebrated their 52 nd wedding anniversary last year.  She was very devoted at being a wife, mom, grandma, great grandma and friend.  She was her kids and grandkids #1 fan, supporting them in all of their activities.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Marion and Lela Goldsmith, her twin sister Mary Jane Solida; mother and father-in-law Henry and Helen Ulrich.

She is survived by her husband and sweetheart Edward Ulrich "Mr. Ed"; step-mother-in-law, Ruth Ulrich; son Dane & Lisa Ulrich; daughter Dee Dee Ulrich and friend James Burk; son Dean Ulrich & wife Christi; grandchildren: Sgt. Adam Fields and wife Hannah, Amanda Fields and fiancé Coy Davis, Amber Inskeep and husband Brandon, Cassidy Garr and husband Turner, Chennedy Ulrich and fiancé Ethan, Jacob Ulrich, Bryant Ulrich, Reagan Ulrich, Trinton Nicholson; step-grandson, Andy Elswick and wife April; her great grandchildren: Kinzlee, Addilyn, Macee and Penelope; sisters, Evelyn Johnson and Ginger Rust and husband Steve as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
