It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Nick Shaffer announce his passing. Nick, age 23, passed away early Sunday morning, September 27, 2020.

He was born May 19 ^th , 1997 in Kansas City, Missouri the son of Richard and Kristie (Vogel) Shaffer.

As a proud father, Nick loved nothing more than spending time with his daughter, Hadley. Nick also enjoyed playing the guitar, hunting with his dogs, and rooting on the Chiefs. Nick's smile and charming character was sure to brighten any room.

He will always be in our hearts and remembered as a loving father, son, and brother.

Nick is survived by his daughter Hadley of Kensington; mother Kristie of Athol; brother Sean and wife Allison of Kansas City, MO; sister Marlee of Athol; Grandfather Gene Vogel of Lawrence; and stepfather Ron Crystal.

Nick was preceded in death by his father Richard Shaffer.

Please join us in celebrating Nick's life Saturday, October 3 ^rd , 2020 at 11am at the United Church of Kensington, 204 W. Cedar, Kensington, Kansas 66951. Masks are recommended.  The services will be streamed live on the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel Facebook Page .

A memorial fund has been set up for Nick's daughter, Hadley. A donation box will be provided at the memorial service. Checks are to be made out to Hadley Mae Shaffer.
