Phillipsburg resident, Orlis E. "Red" Allison, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2010, at the Phillips County Hospital in Phillipsburg, KS at the age of 87. He was born March 21, 1923 in Russell County, KS to Floyd & Jennie (Palmer) Allison. Orlis had worked as a Boiler Room Technician at the Farmland Refinery in Phillipsburg.
Survivors include his wife, Norma, of the home; sons, Rick of El Paso, TX and Brian of Phillipsburg, KS; his sister, Leota Hurlbut of Sylvan Grove, KS; 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Cremation was planned. Graveside services will be held Monday, Nov. 15, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the Fairview Cemetery, Phillipsburg, with Pastor Nancy Harris-Ott officiating. Military honors will be conducted by the U. S. Navy.
Friends may sign the book on Sunday, Nov. 14, from noon – 9 p.m. at the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel, Phillipsburg.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to the Phillipsburg United Methodist Church.
