On Friday, February 26 th , 2021 (Ardath) Paul Nix, loving husband & father of 3 children passed away at the age of 64.
Paul was born on August 23, 1956 in Meridian, TX to W.H. & Bobbie (Burns) Nix. He spent most of his early years in Texas. In October of 1973, Paul enlisted in the U.S. Army. After his discharge in 1974, Paul went to work doing off-shore drilling until he met the love of his life in November of 1978. He married Margaret Smith on March 1 st , 1979 & to this union 3 children were born, Misty, LaDonna & Nicholas.
Paul was a very active man. He loved fishing with his children & later on with his grandchildren. He liked to plant his flower garden & always wanted to show it off. He enjoyed sports cars & loved to listen to all types of music. He had a gamblers heart when it came to lottery tickets & antiques. He was always looking to make a deal which led him to being a collector of many random things.
He was preceded in death by his father, 2 brothers & his daughter Misty Redinger.
Left to mourn his passing, his wife Margaret of the home in Smith Center; his son, Nicholas (Sammi) Nix of Smith Center; his daughter LaDonna (Jacob) Stice of Stockton; grandchildren: Devon & Sydnee Redinger, Annabelle, Thomas, Jasmine & Mackenzie Kester, Olivia Halateck, Justice Stice & Maci Nix; his great grandson Jonathan & his loving dog Bandit.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 5 at 2:00 p.m. in the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel with Pastor Jay Brandon officiating. Burial will follow in the West Cedar Cemetery, Phillips County.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 9:00 Wednesday & 9:00 to 9:00 Thursday at the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel, Phillipsburg.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Paul Nix Memorial Fund.
