Paula, daughter of Gerald A. and Genevieve Y. Newell was born in Huntington Park, California on July 20,1943. She and her parents moved to Phillipsburg, Kansas in 1947 where she worked as a care giver and in hotel housekeeping.

After her father's death in 1986 Paula and her mother moved to Cathedral City, California, a Palm Springs community.  After her mother's death in 2013 Paula moved to an assisted living facility in Palm Springs, California.

Paula leaves her married brother, Roger, and married sister, Tamara (Newell) McVicker.  They both live in Southern California.
