Pauline Muriel Doctor Brott Scott was born April 21, 1914 to Bessie Grieninger Doctor and Samuel Jessie Doctor in Elwood, Kansas. Pauline went to school in Hiawatha, Kansas and later moved to Omaha. There she met and married Jack M. Brott in November of 1939. Their son Kenneth Brott was born in Omaha in 1946. She subsequently divorced Mr. Brott and later married James C. Scott in July of 1961 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was widowed in July 1997.
Pauline passed away early Wednesday morning, March 09, 2011 in a Hill City, Kansas nursing facility where she had been recovering. Pauline was a lovely lady who had many friends and neighbors in the Logan, Kansas community where she made her home. She loved to crochet, quilt, garden and, cook until her illness began to prevent her from enjoying these activities. She truly loved studying the Bible and always prayed for those she knew and loved. Her life was a blessing to many and she will be greatly missed.
Pauline was preceded in death by her husband - James C. Scott, her parents - Bessie and Samuel Doctor and 2 sisters and their husbands - Rosetta and Arthur Barrett and Violet and George Parker.
She is survived by her son, Kenneth Brott of Atlanta, Georgia; one niece, Betty Fletchall of Springfield, Oregon; several great-nieces; one sister-in-law - Neva Riemann of Derby, Kansas and one brother- in-law - Chester Voss of Hill City, Kansas.
Graveside services will be held Wed, March 16 at 2:00 p.m. in the Pleasant View Cemetery, Logan, with Pastor Tim Kraft officiating.
