Phillipsburg resident Ralph W. Bohl passed away Friday, April 16, 2021 at the Phillips County Retirement Center in Phillipsburg at the age of 98.

He was born October 11, 1922 in Phillips County, KS the son of Conrad J. and Lena S. (Carsten) Bohl.

Ralph was united in marriage to Eileen Rowland on October 20, 1945 at the Emmanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Stuttgart, KS.  With this union four children were born:  Judith, James, Patricia, and Steven.

Following their marriage, Ralph and Eileen moved to Selden, KS for a while, farming property there and in Phillips County at the same time.  While Ralph was farming he began hauling cattle and equipment for others, breaking horses, and dirt construction.  This led to the beginning of Bohl Construction Company in 1954.

In his spare time he enjoyed going dancing, camping, and traveling with Eileen and the kids.  He also did a little carpentry on the side.

He was preceded by his parents; his wife Eileen in 2018; two sisters Tillie Givens and Clara Kaiser; two brothers Karl and Arnold; and four grandchildren Dana, Shannon, and Trevor Bohl and Krinda Ferguson.

Survivors include his 2 sons James and Steve both of Phillipsburg; 2 daughters Judy Fuchs of New Albany, IN and Pat Sheneman of Holdrege, NE; 7 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and 10 great great grandchildren.

Cremation was planned.  A private graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 23, 2021 in the Fairview Cemetery, Phillipsburg, with Pastor James Peterson officiating.  The services will be streamed live on the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel Facebook page.
