Obituary

Randall Lynn "Randy" Werner, 61, of Phillipsburg, KS, passed away on July 19, 2018 at the Phillips
County Hospital in Phillipsburg, KS.

Randy was born on July 15, 1957 in Wichita, Kansas and was adopted by Donald and Ruby (Robinson) Werner and was raised on the farm in Kirwin, Kansas. He attended Eastern Heights and received his degree from Beloit Technical College in Heavy Equipment Operation.

He married Lorraine Grismore on May 23, 1981. Together they raised two children, Timothy Lee and Kyle Randall.

In his early years Randy enjoyed farming and later told stories of the years he worked at the Wyrill farm
in Kirwin and Logan. He also told about the years he helped build the Interstate in Tulsa with Gibbon
Construction. He enjoyed hunting, attending auctions and collecting all things John Deere. In the late
80's he began his tenure at the City of Phillipsburg working as a maintenance worker until his
retirement. Randy's later years were centered around his bulldogs which brought great joy. He never
knew a stranger and could start up a conversation with anyone. The last several months he lived at Via
Christi Village in Hays to have better access to dialysis.

He was preceded in death by his parents Donald and Ruby Werner.

Survivors include his sons; Tim & wife, Shanea, and Kyle Werner all of Phillipsburg; one sister, Brenda Piper
of Grand Island, NE and three grandchildren; Landon, Layton and Brielle all of Phillipsburg, and several
Aunts and Uncles, cousins and many friends.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. in the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel, Phillipsburg. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, Phillipsburg.

Visitation will be Sunday, July 22, from 5 – 9 p.m. and again Monday, July 23, from 9 a.m. –
9 p.m. at the funeral home, where the family will greet friends from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. Monday evening.

Memorial contributions may be given to Fresenius Kidney Care.
