Phillipsburg resident, Ray Bannister, passed away Monday, August 23 at the age of 37. He was born on May 5, 1973 in Aurora, IL. He worked as a roughneck in the oil fields.
Survivors include his wife Jaime of the home, 2 sons, Christopher Hoferica and Mason Bannister; 3 daughters, Shylin Bannister, Nicole Blackburn & Alexis Chavez; his mother, Belinda Burnhardt of Apache Junction, AZ, his father, Bob Bannister of New Braunfels, TX; 3 brothers, Frank Hollenback of Hays, Clyde Bannister of New Braunfels, TX & Paul Hollenback of Paw Paw, IL; 3 sisters, Julie Wieland of Hays, Lisa Cotts & Wendy Hollenback of Aurora, IL.
A memorial service was held Thursday, August 26 at 2:00 p.m. in the Assembly Of God Church, Phillipsburg with Pastor Dave Pugh officiating.
Memorial contributions have been established to his children.
Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
