Rayleen Ann Miles, daughter of Breton and Renee (Shellito) Miles, was born August 3, 1982 in Phillipsburg, Kansas. She passed away at home on February 22, 2017 in Phillipsburg at the age of 34.
After graduating from Phillipsburg High School in 2000, she attended Fort Hays State University and earned her Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. While working at Eastern Heights as the clerk of the Board, she realized her dream of wanting to teach. She went back to college and received her teaching degree. She taught at Hays High School, Kennedy Middle School, the Northern Valley schools and St. Joe Middle School.
The love of her life, her son Rhett William, was born December 20, 2005. Her whole being and life revolved around him. She enjoyed going to all his ballgames, school functions and rodeos. They were inseparable.
Survivors include her son, Rhett and her parents, Bret and Renee, all of the home in Phillipsburg; her sister, Blythe McClintock & husband, Travis, of Hutchinson, KS; and her special nephews, Brock and Jaxon, to whom she will always be their "Auntie Ray Ray."
Cremation was planned. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, February 27, 2017 at the SS Philip & James Catholic Church in Phillipsburg, with Father George Chalbhagam officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, Phillipsburg.
