Phillipsburg resident, Richard "Dick" Trent, passed away June 4, 2025 at the Phillips County Hospital in Phillipsburg at the age of 76.  He was born August 31, 1948 in Smith Center.  He was the son of Richard & Margaret Jane (McCorkle) Trent.

Survivors include his sisters: Janet Horinek of Phillipsburg, Marcia Brown of Las Cruces, NM & Sheri Vance of Jefferson, CO.

Funeral services will be held Monday, June 9 at 11:00 a.m. in the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel with Pastor Ted Stapleton officiating. The service will be streamed live on the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel Facebook page.  Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery with Military Honors by the Ft. Riley Honor Guard.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 9:00 Saturday and noon to 9:00 Sunday with the family receiving friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or Hope in the Heartland.
