Norton resident, Richard D. Tyrrell passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at the Andbe Home in Norton at the age of 78.
Richard was born September 6, 1936 in Lenora, Kansas the son of Roy Albert & Mary Kathryn (Vahling) Tyrrell.
Survivors include two brothers, Ronald & wife, Dolly of Wakeeney, Kansas and Tom & wife, Neila of Norton, Kansas; and two sisters, Ruth Lucidi & husband, Ed of Palm Harbor, Florida and Roberta Lively & husband, Ed of Phillipsburg, Kansas.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 27, 2015 at the Saints Philip & James Catholic Church in Phillipsburg, with Father Joseph Kieffer officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, Phillipsburg.
Mr. Tyrrell will lie in state from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and from Noon until 9 p.m. Sunday at the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel, Phillipsburg. A Vigil Service will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project or Mass Offerings to Saints Philip & James Catholic Church.
