Roger Nelson Huff, son of Russell L. & Edith L. (Fowler) Huff, was born August 16, 1941 in the Clayton Township, Norton, County, KS. He passed away January 27, 2021 at his home in Holdrege, NE at the age of 79.
He attended Norton Community High School, graduating with the class of 1959. He then attended Ft. Hays State University, graduating in 1964. He served in the Kansas National Guard from 1964 to 1970.
On July 9, 1967, Roger was united in marriage to Evadean Poage at the Maple Grove Church of the Brethren in Norton, KS. To this union, 3 children were born.
Roger was a mechanic for International Harvester & Rowh Motors. He also farmed & had a dairy farm from 1970 until 1985. He then went to work for the Department of Transportation until his retirement in 2007.
He was preceded in death by his parents & his grandson Andrew.
Survivors include his wife Evadean of the home in Holdrege, NE; his son Randy of Rexford, KS; his daughters; Pamela Vaughn of Hugoton, KS & Deanna Rule of Lawrence, KS; two brothers; Dean of Olathe, KS & Mark of Mesquite, TX; his sister Carol Spady of Ulysses, KS; five grandchildren: Elizabeth & husband Michael Mengelkamp, Rebecca & Nathaniel Hansen, BriAnna Rule & Mathew & wife Kassie Huff & four great grandchildren & a special cousin Helen Hoch
A graveside service will be held Friday, Jan. 29 at 1:30 p.m. in the Norton Cemetery, Norton, KS.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Norton Food Pantry.
