Obituary

Sandra Kay Harman, a beloved resident of Phillipsburg, passed away on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at the Phillips County Hospital, Phillipsburg, at the age of 75. Sandra was born on August 22, 1948, to Lyle, Jr. and Katherine (Peil) Davis. She graduated from Phillipsburg High School.

Sandra married Rex Dean Harman on June 15, 1991, in Phillipsburg, who survives her. She is also survived by her son, Kevin Watts, of Bennington, KS; her daughter, Kerri Gwennap, of Phillipsburg; step-son Nick Harman and his wife, Shannon, of Huntsville, AL; step-daughter Chastity Ingram and her husband, Kent, of Franklin, NE; brothers Howard and his wife, Brenda, of Dodge City, KS, Joe and his significant other, Linda, of Mt. Home, AR, and Loren and his significant other, Ketsani, of Fredricksburg, TX; a sister Denise Hays and her husband, Bob, of Wichita, KS; 7 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.

Sandra was a passionate horse enthusiast, showing horses, taking care of them, and raising them. She was also an avid participant in church league volleyball and softball. She was a devoted 4-H leader, and spending time with her grandchildren always brought her great joy. Sandra worked in the community as a cook at Frank's Cafe & High School and also as a clerk in Hugunin Retail Liquor. She will be deeply missed.

In accordance with the family's wishes, Sandra's cremation has been arranged. Join the family on Monday evening, November 20, 2023, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel in Phillipsburg to celebrate Sandra's life. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that any contributions be made to the Rooks County Fair, c/o Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel, PO Box 563, Phillipsburg, KS 67661.
