IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Shanon Lyn
Wyatt
August 21, 1967 – January 29, 2026
Phillipsburg resident, Shanon Lyn Wyatt, passed away on January 29, 2026, at the Wesley Medical Center, in Wichita, Kansas, at the age of 58.
Shanon was born on August 21, 1967, in Norton, Kansas, to her parents Leroy Clair Wyatt and LaVeda Marie Hulse.
Shanon was the kind of person who always puts others before herself. If someone needed help, she showed up, no questions asked. Her heart was generous, her presence was comforting, and her love for her friends and family was fierce and unwavering.
She found joy in the simple things: gardening, cooking, crosswords, a book, a long bath, and a Pepsi, with a good bag of candy. She had a way of making people feel seen and cared for. Her kindness left a mark on everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Shanon enjoyed volunteering her time at the food pantry and loved her cooking job when she was employed at Valley Hope. She loved everyone who walked into that kitchen hall. There is no doubt each person was met with grace and compassion. Shanon also sponsored a lot of people whom she cared for deeply.
Shanon is preceded in death by her mother LaVeda, step mother Georgia, brother Clint Wyatt, and son Isaac Wyatt, whom she missed deeply.
Survivors include her daughter Leslie Norton of Phillipsburg, Kansas, son Jay Norton of Kansas City, Kansas, 5 grandchildren: Addison, Isabelle, Adele, Josie, and Emily, along with one great grandchild, Malachi. She loved them with her whole heart. She is also survived by her father Leroy Wyatt, a brother Bradley Wyatt of Hays, Kansas, sisters Dana LeFebvre and husband Kenneth of Kensington, Kansas, Gina Lennemann of Phillipsburg, Kansas, and Lisa Shelton and husband Larry of Topeka, Kansas, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Though our hearts are broken, we are grateful for the love she gave so freely and the example she set by always choosing compassion.
Her legacy of kindness will live on through those who loved her.
