Sharon Kaye Woodard, daughter of Walter & Ruby (Crabb) Gower, was born September 11, 1942 in Agra, Kansas. She passed away on February 25, 2021 at the Phillips County Hospital in Phillipsburg, Kansas at the age of 78.
She grew up in Agra & graduated from Agra High School. Sharon was united in marriage to Louis Woodard on September 11, 1963, her 21 st birthday. The couple were blessed with a son Marty.
Sharon was employed at many different places over the years including, JC Penney's, The local newspaper, James Inc & Coomes Inc. She also did the books for several different businesses over the years.
Sharon was absolutely crazy about cats, owning many during her lifetime. She also enjoyed movies, riding motorcycles, visiting with family & friends & watching her son Marty play sports. She & Louis also collected Christmas ornaments for over 30 years & she was a huge Kansas Jayhawk fan.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband Louis of Phillipsburg; her son Marty of Olathe & her grandson Tyler.
Sharon had a terrific sense of humor & an infectious laugh, she will be missed by her family & many friends.
Graveside services will be held Tues. March 2 at 10:00 a.m. in the Fairview Cemetery, Phillipsburg, with Pastor Joel Hiesterman officiating. The service will be streamed live on the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel Facebook page.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 9:00 Sunday & 9:00 to 9:00 Monday at the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel with the family receiving friends from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Hays Humane Society or the Terry Johnson Center For Basic Cancer Research.
