Phillipsburg resident, Sherry Ann (Starkey) Allen, was born on September 21, 1949, in Grand Island, NE to Bud and Doris (Klanecky) Starkey. She went to her heavenly home into unspeakable joy on Friday, September 19, 2025, at the Phillips County Hospital in Phillipsburg at the age of 75. We can only imagine her joy. "Whom having not seen ye love; in whom, though now ye see Him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory."  I Peter 1:8

Sherry was united in marriage to Patrick J. Allen on July 8, 1988 in Topeka, KS in the presence of family and friends. They met at the entrance doors to Conestoga Mall in Grand Island, NE. on Dec. 31, 1984. This meeting was an important part in their lives as Pat had stood at those doors praying for God to bring someone special into his life. From that time on, they formed a strong bond as they became a loving couple that were devoted to each other, and to God. Sherry had graduated from St. Paul High School in St. Paul, and from the Grand Island School of Business with an accounting degree.

Survivors include her husband Patrick of Phillipsburg; half siblings, Billy, Bobby, and Anita Starkey; brothers-in-law Tom Decker and wife Kim of Enterprise, KS, Terry Truhliska and wife Susan, and Bruce Reynolds of Ellensburg, WA; and sisters-in-law Kay Medlin of Spring Hill, KS and Michelle Brown and husband Jeff of Lyons, KS.

Funeral services will be held at the Phillipsburg Wesleyan Church at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 23, 2025, with Pastor Randy Garner officiating. Burial will follow in the West Cedar Cemetery, Phillips County, KS.

Sherry will lie in state from noon until 9 p.m. Sunday and Monday at the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel, Phillipsburg.
