Phillipsburg resident, Thelma Braun, died Monday, December 30, 2013 at the Phillips County Hospital in Phillipsburg at the age of 77.

She was born February 8, 1936 in Phillips County, KS the daughter of William James & Delphia Faye (Bretton) Chestnut. She was a homemaker.

She was united in marriage to LeRoy Braun on November 11, 1961 in Logan, KS. He survives.

Other survivors include 2 sons, David Chestnut of Franklin, NE and Delton Braun of Phillipsburg; 5 daughters, Regina Borthwick of Hays, Rhonda Stegmaier of Phillipsburg, Rolanda Capps of Kirwin, Roxie Braun & Becky Davis both of Phillipsburg; 1 sister, Illa Johnson of Glade; 18 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.

Cremation was planned. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, January 3, 2014 in the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel, Phillipsburg, with Pastor Joel Hiesterman officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Marvin Cemetery, Glade.

Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday with the family receiving friends from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel, Phillipsburg.
