Thelma Mueller, 92, passed away on August 26, 2026, at Sun Porch of Smith County in Smith Center, Kansas.

She was born on February 13, 1934, in Bellaire, Kansas, to Oren and Helen (Cooper) Flint. She graduated from Smith Center High School in Smith Center, Kansas. While still in high school, she worked for JCPenney in Smith Center. Over the years, she also worked for Farm Services in Wichita, Kansas, and for Smith County Farm Services in Smith Center.

Thelma was a woman who enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. She loved spending time with her family, and those moments meant a great deal to her. She also enjoyed traveling with her brother and family, and she looked forward to the occasional gambling trip.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Oren and Helen (Cooper) Flint; her husband, Leland Mueller; and her brothers, Roy and Darrell.

Thelma is survived by her son, Martyn Mueller and his wife, Rebecca, of Cedar, Kansas; her daughter, Hayley Gordon and her husband, Kent, of Agra, Kansas; her brother, Larry Flint of Melbourne, Florida; three grandchildren; and 2 great-granddaughters. She will be remembered with love by her family and by all who knew her.

Cremation was planned.  A private family inurnment will be held at a later date.
