Obituary

Vonnie Raye Rosenberg was born the fourth of five children to Elven Finley & Bonnie Lee (Fleming) Rosenberg on January 28th, 1953 in Phillipsburg, KS. She passed away on October 12, 2015 at the Phillips County Hospital In Phillipsburg at the age of 62.
She grew up in Phillipsburg and graduated from Phillipsburg High School with the class of 1971. She later attended Kansas Newman College for two years.
Growing up, Vonnie's family truly enjoyed the water, getting together with other relatives to boat, swim & ski. She also shared a love of music with her sister. They would get together & sing at nursing homes & in churches. One of the songs that they sang was Daddy's Hands; Vonnie always sang lead on it. She and her family attended the Pleasant Green Church north of Agra for several years. She later attended the First Assembly of God Church in Phillipsburg where she helped with the Missionettes for a few years. Vonnie was also the director of the Phillips County food pantry for a time.
In August of 1991, Vonnie met Wayne Younts and on April 20, 1997 they were united in marriage at the First Assembly of God Church in Phillipsburg. In 1999, the couple moved to Colorado Springs, CO where they operated a motel until 2005. They then returned to Phillipsburg where they made their home along with Bugly, Their dog.
Wayne & Vonnie spent their free time working on their house, which consisted of what Vonnie wanted done, Wayne got it done. They were also able to do some traveling. Vonnie & Wayne renewed their vows on April 20, 2007.
She was preceded in death by her two children: Kenneth & Krystal Ukele; her parents; two sisters: Sheryl & Zona and her brother Dave.
Survivors include her husband Wayne of the home; her grandson Matthew Gideon of Wichita, KS; her sister, Diane Kennedy & husband Dick of rural Phillipsburg; her mother-in-law, Joan & husband Buford Rains of Wichita, KS; nephews, Kevin Morgan & wife Chantel , Jared Hanes & wife Megan as well as many other nephews, nieces, cousins & a host of friends.
Vonnie accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior, we all look forward to the day we will be together again.

Funeral services will be held Friday, October 16 at 2:00 p.m. in the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel in Phillipsburg. Burial will follow in the Agra Cemetery, Agra.

Visitation will be from noon to 9:00 Wed. & 9:00 to 9:00 Thurs. at the funeral home.
