Obituary
Long Island resident, William "Bill" Godfrey, passed away Wed., Aug. 8, 2012 at his home in Long Island, KS at the age of 51. He was born Nov. 3, 1960 in Phillipsburg, KS to Robert C. & Ila Marie (Schilowsky) Godfrey. Bill worked as a heavy equipment operator for Phillips County.
Survivors include his brothers, Albert Leroy, of Anthony, KS and Bobby, of Niederwald, TX; his stepfather, Eldon George of Lebanon, KS; and several nieces & nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Aug. 13, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel, Phillipsburg, with Pastor Dean Gilbert officiating. Burial will follow in the Long Island Cemetery, Long Island, with military honors by Fort Riley.
Visitation will be Sat. & Sun. from noon – 9:00 p.m. in the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel, Phillipsburg, with the family receiving friends from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. Sunday evening.
Memorial contributions may be given to the KSU Center for Basic Cancer Research.
