Wyann Ellsworth Kaiser was born on March 5, 1947, to Ellsworth Herman Henry Kaiser and Bertha Elsie Kaiser in Phillipsburg, Kansas.

Wyann was baptized, confirmed, and married at Emmanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Stuttgart, Kansas.

In 1970, he earned his bachelor's degree in Instrumentational Engineering from Pittsburg College.

On September 1, 1968, Wyann married Connie Sue Stones at Emmanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church and between 1970 and 1974, Wyann and Connie welcomed two daughters, Deborah and Heather, into their lives.

In 1979, Wyann accepted an opportunity to take his family to Saudi Arabia, where he continued his engineering career in the oil refinery business. This opportunity allowed him and his family to travel the world numerous times.

In 1985, Wyann returned to the United States with his family. They settled in Chesapeake, Virginia, and served our Lord at St. Andrews Lutheran Church.

Between 2002 and 2012, Wyann and Connie welcomed four grandchildren, Raiden Oliva Phillips, Reese Lane Phillips, Paul Randolph Jones, III, and Roxi Sophie Phillips, into their lives. He adored his grandchildren. They called him Pop Pop.

In 2002 Wyann retired from Amoco/BP Refinery in Yorktown, VA.  Soon after retirement, he and Connie followed their dream of traveling around the United States in their "home on wheels." Wyann and Connie enjoyed exploring and visiting family.

Wyann is survived by his wife of 54 years, Connie Sue Kaiser; his two daughters, Deborah Sue Jones and husband Paul and Heather Wynett Phillips and husband Rob; his sister Cheryl Loy Keesee and husband Jerry; his grandchildren, Raiden Olivia Phillips and Reese Lane Phillips Paul Randolph Jones, III, and Roxi Sophie Phillips and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Wyann was preceded in death by his mother, Bertha Elise Kaiser Whitney, his father, Ellsworth Herman Henry Kaiser, and his uncle, Ludwig Kaiser, whom he loved very much.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 27, 2023 in the Emmanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, Stuttgart, with Pastor Lee Bennight officiating.  Inurnment will follow in the Emmanuel Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery.
